
Yesterday 21st Judicial DA Scott Perrilloux announced the indictment of Daniel Callihan and Victoria Cox, who are implicated in the murder of Callie Brunett and her four-year-old daughter last week.
Callihan was charged with two counts of first degree murder, aggravated kidnapping of a child, and second degree kidnapping. Cox was charged with accessory after the fact to murder, first degree murder, aggravated kidnapping of a child, and second degree kidnapping.
The indictments were determined by a Tangipahoa Parish Grand Jury Thursday morning and reported before Judge Brian Abels Thursday afternoon.
Callihan was arrested in Jackson, Mississippi, where authorities found the girls. Jalie was injured but alive; Erin was dead. Mississippi authorities are pursuing charges and federal charges could also be coming.
Callihan and Cox remain jailed in Mississippi.
