The Northshore Community Foundation is highlighting the impact of its 12 scholarship funds.
This year, the Foundation received an impressive 73 applications from across the four-parish region they serve. After a rigorous selection process, 16 deserving students have been awarded scholarships totaling $262,800.
The Northshore Community Foundation administers a variety of scholarships, each with specific criteria. The parameters for these scholarships include factors such as high school location, commitment to attending in-state universities, chosen field of study, and demonstration of community involvement. Each scholarship fund is financially supported by dedicated fundholders who also play a key role in selecting the recipients.
Leslie Landry, President and CEO of the Foundation said they are thrilled to invest in the future leaders of the community through their scholarship funds.
