Bogalusa Mayor Tyrin Z. Truong announced that there are five candidates for Police Chief of the Bogalusa Police Department.
He has formed a selection committee that will be tasked with helping choose a candidate who reflects the values the community would like to see. The mayor said his office would announce a meet and greet with the Police Chief nominee once a selection is made.
The Selection Committee consists of: Willis Yarbrough, Former BPD Assistant Chief; Reverend E.L. Powell, Pastor of New Triumph Missionary Baptist Church; Khlilia Daniels, Director of Youth Violence Prevention Nonprofit; Fate Ferrell, Citizen; Dodi Browett, Citizen; and Rick Corsetti, Citizen.
