District Attorney Collin Sims reports that a Washington Parish grand jury indicted 15 YO Frank Parker of Bogalusa and 15 YO Jyhren Cotton of Bogalusa each on one count of second degree murder and six counts of attempted second degree murder.
They will be tried as adults.
The case involves a shooting at a Union Street residence in Bogalusa on April 13, 2024, which led to the death of a 16 YO male juvenile.
Juvenile Detective Justin Blackwell with the Bogalusa Police Department headed the investigation. Assistant District Attorney Ronnie Gracianette presented the case to the grand jury.
