On Friday, April 12 St. Tammany Parish Public Schools will be open for campuses that are ready for students to return.
Schools that need additional repairs or do not have electricity will remain closed.
The schools that will remain closed are in the Northshore, Pearl River, Salmen, and Slidell learning communities. They are continuing repairs and hope to have electricity restored to all schools soon.
Updates about Monday will be provided on Sunday through websites, robocalls and social media. Employees of schools that are closed will be contacted directly with information.
They offered a thank you to everyone who has worked tirelessly to get schools ready to safely welcome students.
