Covington Police said a traffic stop for a brake light violation led to the recovery of over 100 grams of Fentanyl disguised as Adderall.
On Tuesday, March 5, shortly before 9 am, a Covington Police officer stopped a Nissan Altima for a traffic violation on Taylor Street near 26th Avenue. During the traffic stop, the officer noticed a large baggie containing what appeared to be over 200 Adderall pills sitting feet away from a 1-year-old baby. Upon further investigation, the officer discovered that the Adderall pills were counterfeit and tested positive for containing Fentanyl.
The driver of the Altima, Jacqueline Davenport (BF 07/08/93), was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute and other drug charges. Davenport was also arrested on a Failure to Appear warrant issued by the 22nd Judicial District Court before being transported to the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center.
