Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Elect Gerald Sticker said last week, along with 14 other new sheriff elects from across the state, he completed the “new sheriff” course in Baton Rouge.
The training was conducted at the Louisiana Sheriffs’ Association. It is a state mandated course that covers the roles and responsibilities of Louisiana Sheriffs.
Sticker added that on another note, the transition was going smoothly and he will be ready to hit the ground running on July 1, 2024.
