
Last night at approximately 7:00 pm, the 17 YO suspect in the shooting on the night of the Krewe of Eve Parade in Mandeville turned himself in to Mandeville Police with no further incident.
The suspect was arrested for the offenses of Attempted Second Degree Murder, Aggravated Battery, Reckless discharge of firearm at parade or demonstration, and Illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile.
On February 2 the Mandeville Police Department responded to a report of a shot being fired in the 3800 block of Hwy 22 during the Krewe of Eve Parade. This incident resulted in a juvenile obtaining a non life threatening gun shot wound. Following this incident, several persons were detained and questioned. No arrests were made at that time, but a suspect was identified shortly thereafter.
