A 17 YO suspect has been named in connection with the shooting of a juvenile last Friday near the Krewe of Eve parade route.
On Monday the Mandeville Police Department said it had identified Tyryn Bailey as the suspected gunman who shot and wounded another teen near a fast food restaurant on Highway 22.
The department said an arrest warrant has been obtained for Bailey on suspicion of attempted second-degree murder, aggravated battery reckless discharge of a firearm at a parade and illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile.
Bailey is described as 5-foot-4 and weighing 110 pounds, with brown hair and eyes.
Mandeville police said the juvenile victim in the case was shot once, at approximately 9:05 p.m. The victim was taken for hospital treatment but the person’s condition has not been released.
