Covington PD says the Olympia Parade will roll at 4 pm on Saturday, February 3. Roads will close at 3 pm.
Due to the predicted weather forecasts, the Krewe of Olympia has decided that the starting time of the Olympia Parade scheduled for Saturday should take place earlier in the day.
The difficult decision to change the start time for the Olympia parade by two hours was made by Krewe Captains.
Unfortunately, due to the Krewe sharing floats and resources with other parades, as well as other events scheduled for Saturday and in the days leading up to Mardi Gras, rescheduling the parade for another date was not an option.
