Child Advocacy Services was awarded a National Children’s Alliance (NCA) Core grant to plan and implement mental health and clinical services through its Children’s Advocacy Center Program.
Rob Carlisle, CEO Child Advocacy Services, said the CAC Program is one of the fewer centers across Louisiana that is proudly accredited through NCA, providing services through a set of standards to ensure the best practices in serving children. Additionally, a local anonymous donor and partner has committed a match for three years to sustain the new mental health services being planned and offered. Carlisle said this funding will create an affiliated partnership and set of skill based trainings that will guarantee local children receive the very best counseling services in this region.
Child Advocacy Services is starting 2024 productively and always serving children and families through Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), a Children’s Advocacy Center, and prevention education Programs and they celebrate 30 years of service this year.
