The Louisiana Travel Association introduced Donna O’Daniels, Erica Sweeney Glory and Liz Munson as winners of the 2024 Louey Awards during its Annual Meeting this week in New Orleans.
This year, LTA presented 16 “Louey Awards” to honor and showcase individuals and organizations who have made outstanding contributions to the Louisiana tourism industry.
Receiving a single award is prestigious, but Visit The Northshore received three Louey Awards from the Louisiana Travel Association.
O’Daniels received the Marion “Butch” Fox Advocacy Award, which is awarded to a member of the Louisiana travel community who shows commitment to statewide causes, speaks up for the industry and advocates on all issues of importance to further the economic growth of travel in Louisiana.
Glory was awarded the Rising Star of the Year, which is presented to an up-and-coming professional in the tourism industry who has demonstrated qualities of leadership, entrepreneurship and creativity.
And Munson received Restaurateur of the Year, which is awarded to a restaurateur or chef in Louisiana who understands the importance of the tourism industry and the importance of marketing their products and services to the visitor.
Katie Guasco, Chief Marketing Officer of Visit The Northshore said these three remarkable individuals mean so much to the Louisiana tourism industry and their passion and hard work continue to shine a bright spotlight on the Northshore’s culture and hospitality.
