Hammond Rotary Club’s Christmas Parade will roll through the streets of Hammond on December 15 but there is a change in where participants will line up.
State Farm agent Alexis Ducorbier will sponsor the club’s 65th parade and has chosen the theme “Christmas at the Farm.”
Southeastern Louisiana University President Dr. William Wainwright, will serve as Grand Marshal and Mrs. Frances Chauvin, who has served as a parade judge for many years, is this year’s Grand Dame.
The parade line up has changed to Southeastern’s Strawberry Stadium’s parking lot due to a SLU Ladies’ Basketball game in the University Center.
The parade will begin at 6 p.m., and roll down General Pershing on its usual route. The Judges’ stand will be located on Magnolia Street in front of PJ’s coffee.
Commercial, non-commercial, dance groups and automobiles are welcome to join the parade. To receive a registration form, visit www.hammondrotary.com to download forms or email parade@hammondrotary.com . The deadline for registration is December 11th. For more information, call 985-634-6273.
