St. Tammany Sheriff Randy Smith is endorsing Chris Gideon for Tangipahoa Sheriff.
He said Gideon has the courage and commitment to serve as Sheriff. Smith is a 35-year veteran in law enforcement and the sheriff in St Tammany for the past eight years. Smith said he can assure voters that Chris Gideon shares his views on policing and will provide his deputies with the best training and family wage jobs. Smith said Gideon’s history in law enforcement and his policies to lead the Sheriff’s Department will result in a safer Tangipahoa Parish.
Gideon is in a run-off with Gerald Sticker to replace the retiring Daniel Edwards.
