The second flyover ramp connecting the New Orleans airport to Interstate 10 in Kenner opens today.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced the opening of the eastbound ramp out of the airport on Thursday, making it the second completed portion of a $125 million effort to improve Louis Armstrong International Airport’s link with I-10 at Loyola Drive.
The first was the ramp from westbound I-10 into the airport, which opened on Sept. 29.
In addition to the ramps, extra lanes are being built on I-10 between Williams and Loyola. These widen I-10 to four lanes in each direction.
