
Two lectures, and a movie screening highlight the events scheduled during the upcoming week of Fanfare, Southeastern Louisiana University’s annual fall arts festival.
First up is the next History and Political Science Fanfare lecture on Oct. 17. Scheduled at 2 p.m. in Pottle Auditorium, “The Legacy of Slavery and Opposition to International Security Cooperation” will be presented by Southeastern graduate and Florida State Ph.D. political science candidate Damian Boldt.
Next on tap is a movie screening of the cult classic “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” Oct. 20 and 21. Back by popular demand, the screenings are scheduled in the Columbia Theatre at 9 p.m. each evening. Tickets are $25 VIP, $20 for adults and students, and are available at the Columbia Theatre box office or by calling 985-549-2787.
Oct. 25 brings another History and Political Science Fanfare lecture. Southeastern’s own internationally recognized philosopher Jeffrey Bell will present “Living in Dialogue: Philosophical Practice and Politics” at 12:30 p.m. in Pottle Auditorium.
