The Louisiana Community and Technical College System Board of Supervisors appointed Dr. Jim Carlson as Chancellor of Northshore Technical Community College.
Dr. Carlson has served as Vice Chancellor of Strategic Initiatives and External Affairs of NTCC since 2018 and first joined the LCTCS in 2005. Most recently, he served as Interim Chancellor of NTCC since May of 2023. He earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi in Speech Communication and Rhetoric and his doctorate degree from Northeastern University in Higher Education Administration.
Carlson said he was humbled to be selected as Chancellor of Northshore Technical Community College and he looks forward to working alongside the faculty, staff, and administration to best serve the students and the entire Northshore community.
