
An Abita Springs-area man arrested after a large assortment of illegal narcotics were located at his residence.
During the month of September, detectives with the St Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Narcotics Division began an investigation related to Allen Tate Jr. Tate was suspected to be distributing large amounts of several different types of illicit narcotics throughout St Tammany Parish.
On Monday (October 2), detectives located Tate near his residence in the 73000 block of Eagle Street in Abita Springs. Detectives executed a search warrant at the residence and Tate was found to be in possession of Six firearms; Approximately 458 dosage units of fentanyl (M30); Approximately 32 oz of suspected Liquid THC; Approximately 29 units of suspected psilocybin mushrooms edibles; Approximately 32 units of pre-rolled suspected marijuana; Approximately 420 units of suspected THC cartridges; Approximately 325 dosage units of suspected Ecstasy; Approximately 669 dosage units of suspected Alprazolam; Approximately 22.4 grams of suspected methamphetamine; Approximately 944.2 grams of suspected marijuana; Approximately 12.8 grams of suspected Cocaine; Approximately 202 dosage units of suspected Adderal; Approximately 154 dosage units of suspected LSD; $21,850 in cash, and more.
Tate was arrested and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center.
