After a brief delay, the Randall Road replacement project was set to kick off Monday, October 2, 2023.
Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said DOTD will close the north end of Randall Road by the Calvary Christian Center property to replace the bridge. Miller said the project will take several months but if the weather conditions cooperates the bridge could be open as soon as early January. The estimated cost of the bridge replacement is $1.35 million.
In addition to the Randall Road project, Tangipahoa Parish Road and Bridge crews will be working at the intersection of Tootsie Kinchen and Rogers Road this Tuesday, October 3, to replace a cross drain. Tootsie Kinchen Road will be closed starting at 8:30 a.m. that day, and no traffic will be allowed during the construction period. Miller said the roadway should be reopened by 2:30 p.m., weather permitting.
This week Phase 2023 crews will continue dressing work on Tina Drive, Recile Lane, Graceland Road, Corbin Road, Oak Meadows, Magnolia Banks, Ruby Oaks Court, Oak Creek Trace, Weald Way, Holly Drive, and George Road.
