
Five individuals who were selling fentanyl in the Covington area are behind bars thanks to a joint operation between the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office and other entities.
A joint operation between the St. Tammany Sheriff’s Narcotics Division, Louisiana State Police, Covington Police, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, Homeland Security and the DEA resulted in the apprehension Thursday of three individuals and Friday of two individuals on narcotics-related violations that entailed the distribution of fentanyl in the Covington area.
Multiple related investigations, beginning in March 2023, led to the total seizure of approximately 3,400 dosage units of fentanyl pressed tablets.
The joint investigations also led to the execution of search warrants on Thursday (September 29) at two residences in the Covington area. Those searches resulted in the seizure of four firearms, two of which were reported stolen, approximately 104.5 grams of fentanyl, an assortment of drug paraphernalia and $6,788.
Larry Dynelle James Jr., Ricordo A. Jordan, Alskiin Raysean Millican, and Alvarez Joseph Cyprian Jr., all of Covington face numerous drug charges.
