The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect vehicle connected with an attempted auto theft.
Sheriff Daniel Edwards says on August 6, 2023, deputies responded to Sibley Road in Tickfaw just after 3:00 PM after several subjects attempted to steal a vehicle from a residence.
As captured on a home security camera, a maroon SUV is seen stopping on the roadway in front of the residence. Two occupants then exit the vehicle and proceed across the yard in attempts to enter a vehicle belonging to a contractor working on the home.
Unfortunately, the camera footage of the subjects is not clear enough to determine their identity, however, detectives are hoping the public may recognize the vehicle, which is described as a red or maroon Nissan SUV, possibly a Pathfinder or Xterra, and has a loud exhaust as heard in the security footage.
Sheriff Edwards asks anyone able to identify the subjects to contact Detective Bobby Bradberry at 985-902-2045, OR if you wish to remain anonymous, please call Crime Stoppers of Tangipahoa’s anonymous tip line at 1.800.554.5245 or visit www.tangicrimestoppers.com and click on the P3 Tips icon or Submit A Tip! You may be eligible for a cash reward.
