
On Monday, August 28, shortly after 4 p.m., the Covington Police Department, along with deputies from the St. Tammany Sheriff’s Office, responded to a shooting in the 900 block of West 32nd Avenue, where officers located a 10 YO boy suffering from a gunshot wound.
The juvenile was transported via ambulance to an area hospital and was later released.
Officers learned that 19 YO Stephen Dajon Rogers Miller arrived at a residence after an altercation and fired several gunshots toward a group of bystanders, injuring the boy.
Officers located Miller nearby at his residence, where he was taken into custody without incident.
Miller was later booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail for Attempted First Degree Murder and other charges.
