
From our weather partners at WDSU: Southeast Louisiana is experiencing another week of extreme heat with Excessive Heat Warnings, and the potential to meet or exceed all-time record highs.
A big ridge of high pressure is intensifying over the Central U.S. and will bring extremely hot weather to much of the country.
Heat Advisories and Excessive Heat Warnings will extend from the Gulf Coast to almost the Canadian border, and from the Rockies to the Appalachians.
An Excessive Heat Warning is in effect from 10 am – 8 pm today where it could feel as hot as 118.
Make sure to limit strenuous activity outside and drink plenty of non-alcoholic and non-caffeinated beverages.
