Tangipahoa Parish Schools says today, Thursday Aug. 10 is the first day back to school for students in first through twelfth grade.
As they make final preparations for back to school, they remind everyone to slow down, stay alert, and be courteous to fellow drivers in the coming days. Remember, many students will be waiting at their bus stops while it is still dark outside. Bus drivers are still learning their routes, families are learning new carpool procedures, and even teachers and staff will be in route to their schools. There will be more traffic on the roads.
