Shortly after 10 am yesterday Slidell Police Officer Joshua Feraci located a stolen 2011 Mazda MZ3 near Gause Boulevard and Front Street.
Sometime Tuesday, the vehicle was reported stolen from the State of Indiana.
When the officer attempted to stop the stolen car, which was driven by 33 YO Randall Tuck of Covington, the driver refused to stop and fled from officers. Tuck led officers on a chase through North Slidell and ultimately crashed the stolen vehicle into a fence near the Slidell Airport.
Tuck and his girlfriend, 28 YO Haley Maddox of Dale, IN, were taken into custody.
Officers located methamphetamine inside of the vehicle, as well as a realistic looking revolver, which turned out to be a BB gun. The couple also had a puppy inside of the vehicle, which was unharmed. The puppy was taken for safekeeping to Slidell Animal Control.
The Louisiana State Police and the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office assisted during the chase.
Both suspects face numerous charges.
