St Tammany Parish Government says starting Monday, July 17 through July 30, Sharp Road from Audubon Lake Drive to 7 Pines Boulevard in Mandeville will be closed.
They said the closure is necessary for contractors to install new drainage culverts in the area, as part of the Sharp Road Widening project.
Motorists are advised to use LA 59 and Asbury Drive as alternate routes until work is complete.
Residents who live between Audubon Lake Drive and 7 Pines Boulevard will have access to their homes.
The road is expected to reopen on July 31.
Contractors are doing the work now so it can be completed prior to the school year beginning.
