Bogalusa Police said Sunday night, at approximately 8:00 pm, officers were dispatched to Cassidy Park in reference to a white male exposing himself near the splash pad.
The complainant advised that the subject was driving a dark grey Jeep.
Upon officers arriving, the suspect fled the area, to a residence on St John Street. The subject then barricaded himself inside the residence.
Bogalusa PD said officers attempted to negotiate with the subject for several hours, but the subject ultimately refused to cooperate and subsequently took his own life, with an apparent self inflicted gun shot.
This is an active investigation.
