While searching the area for a missing female, St. Tammany Sheriff’s detectives located what appears to be human remains Wednesday afternoon in a wooded area near the intersection of Tyler Drive and Kisatchie Drive near Slidell.
On Monday STPSO detectives began searching the area for the missing person after receiving information that she was last seen in that vicinity.
The remains located Wednesday have been turned over to the St. Tammany Parish Coroner’s Office, who will make a positive identification and a determination on cause and manner of death.
This is an ongoing investigation, and more information will be provided when it becomes available.
