Slidell Police announced late yesterday that 25 YO Jamiel Naquon Miller turned himself in.
Slidell PD says he is responsible for shooting and killing a man Sunday.
Shortly after 10:30 p.m. Sunday Slidell Police responded to the 1400 block of Gause Boulevard after receiving reports of a shooting. Officers located the victim, 26 YO Tavante Williamson, suffering from a gunshot wound. Williamson was rushed to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries. It is believed that Miller and Williamson were having an argument, which resulted in Miller pulling out a gun and shooting Williamson in the chest.
After the shooting, Miller fled the area on foot. An intensive manhunt ensued but yielded negative results.
