With school out for the summer, the Covington Police Department has seen an increase in juvenile curfew violations.
For this reason, citizens will see an increase in juvenile curfew enforcement.
According to the City of Covington Ordinance Sec 66-112, any person under the age of 17 years of age and younger must follow the following curfew hours: Sunday – Thursday: 11:00 PM – 5:00 AM, and Friday – Saturday: 12:01 AM – 5:00 AM.
Any juvenile found in violation of this ordinance may be relocated to the Covington Police Department, where we will contact the guardian of the juvenile. Once the guardian arrives to pick up their child, that guardian may be cited for violation of this ordinance.
