The Tangipahoa Parish School System reverts to summer work schedule starting this week.
Tangipahoa Parish School Superintendent Melissa Stilley said the tradition, which dates back many decades, calls for district employees to work extended hours Mondays through Thursdays in June and much of the month of July. The summer schedule hours are 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Stilley said these hours will be in place until Monday, July 24, when the traditional five-day work week resumes.
Stilley said summer is a busy period for district employees who are finalizing preparations for the Fall 2023 semester.
Updates on enrollment, the Ready Start Tangipahoa early learning options, and even school supply lists will be posted in the Family Toolkit at https://www.tangischools.org/familytoolkit.
