Tangi Crime Stoppers is promoting a Tangi Back 2 School Supply Drive.
Even though school just got out for the summer, they’re starting early on the collection of supplies.
Crime Stoppers of Tangipahoa and all Tangipahoa law enforcement agencies have teamed up to collect school supplies for Tangi students.
School items being collected include Backpacks, Crayons, Notebooks, Pencils, Glue Sticks, Folders, Rulers, Safety Scissors, Hand Sanitizer, Disinfecting Wipes, Kleenex, and Monetary Donations.
Supplies can be dropped off at the police departments in Amite, Kentwood, Hammond, Independence, Ponchatoula, Roseland, and Tickfaw. Or donations can be dropped off the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Offices in Hammond or Amite.
Crime Stoppers will host a Back to School Bash at Independence Leadership Academy Gym, 221 Tiger Ave on August 4th from 9:00am-12:00pm. School supplies, games, food and safety materials will be distributed. This is a free event, open to the public.
Classrooms thrive when communities unite so please help Tangipahoa Parish students by donating supplies.
