According to DA Scott Perrilloux, a Tangipahoa Parish Grand Jury indicted 18 YO Ladarrius Darnell Evans with the charges of First Degree Murder, Armed Robbery with a Firearm, and Obstruction of Justice.
On May 6, 2023, Evans is accused of arming himself with a firearm and robbing Mary Holt of her vehicle at the Red Roof Inn located on Wardline Road in Hammond. He is also accused of shooting and killing Mary’s husband, Paul Holt.
Evans then fled in the stolen vehicle and disposed of the vehicle and the evidence linking him to the robbery and the homicide.
Evans should appear in approximately one week for his arraignment according to Perrilloux.
