Amite Police say on May 18 at 05:53 AM, the Amite City Police Department received a call for service at 1205 W. Oak Street (the Racetrack) in reference to a black male subject running inside the store with a firearm.
Within two minutes officers with the Amite City Police Department arrived on scene.
Further information was given that stated the subject was walking towards Walmart.
Officers relocated to Walmart where officers were informed that the suspect walked inside the store pointing the firearm at employees.
Officers were able to apprehend the suspect who was charged with 2 counts of Terrorizing; Aggravated Assault with a Firearm; and Resisting an officer with force.
