The St. Tammany Sheriff’s Office has arrested a former employee after it was learned she was bringing illegal narcotics into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center.
Jail Investigators were provided information last week that a deputy had possibly brought contraband into the jail.
That investigation uncovered a jail employee, Olivia Boswell, had brought illegal narcotics into the facility.
Boswell was immediately fired and arrested Monday (May 15) on Malfeasance and Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Institution. She was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center.
Boswell had been employed as a corrections deputy with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office since August 23, 2022.
