
On Saturday, May 6, all Tangipahoa Library Branches will be hosting the annual “Cookies and Comics Day!”
Each branch will be giving away free cookies and free comics, as well as offering fun things to do.
The Amite Branch will have “Catch ‘em All Cookies and Comics Day.” You can also enjoy Pokémon themed activities from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
At the Hammond Branch children will learn about the importance of teamwork during the action-packed Storytime at 10:30 a.m. At noon, teens will be crafting villain posters with their origin stories and designing their own costumes. At 1 p.m., adults can come dressed as a Super Hero or a Villain and participate in Super Hero Jeopardy.
It’s Super Hero Saturday at Independence Branch from noon to 1:30 p.m.
The Kentwood Branch celebrates the “Hero in All of Us” with games and activities for everyone between noon and 2 p.m.
The Loranger Branch invites everyone to join them for outside games/activities, crafts and snacks from noon to 1 p.m.
And the Ponchatoula Branch will have games and activities from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This celebration is also the beginning of registration for the Summer Reading Program. Children, teens and adults can sign up either online through the website, or by coming into one of the libraries.
