Slidell Police say beginning in January of 2023, their Police Narcotics Division, along with Louisiana Probation and Parole, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, and the DEA, conducted a three-month-long operation, which consisted of officers targeting high-crime areas in the city in an effort to suppress overall crime.
Due to the hard work and dedication of Slidell Police and those agencies, Operation Clean Sweep resulted in 120 arrests, 18 firearms recovered, 6 stolen vehicles recovered, 53 pounds of Meth seized, 384 grams of Fentanyl seized, and more. Officers also seized more than $34,000 in cash.
