
Over the weekend Slidell Police identified a stolen 2022 Kia Soul traveling on Fremaux Avenue.
When officers attempted a traffic stop, the driver fled at a high rate of speed.
Officers continued to pursue the vehicle, until the driver ultimately lost control near the 2700 block of Terrance Avenue. Three male subjects jumped out of the vehicle and fled on foot.
K-9 Max was released and began tracking the suspects. K-9 Max apprehended 18 YO Kendell Jackson of Slidell. After observing K-9 Max apprehend Kendell, a second suspect, identified as 18 YO Daylon Jackson of Slidell, stopped running and peacefully surrendered.
Officers did not locate the third suspect, but were able to positively identify him. Warrants were issued for that suspect, who is a juvenile.
Kendall Jackson was treated for his dog bites at a local hospital.
Upon release, both he and Daylon Jackson were booked into the Slidell City Jail and face numerous charges.
