Over the past several months, Covington Police have continued their investigation of the murder of Jyrion Dangerfield.
On Sunday, July 24, 2022, Jyrion left his home in Hammond, to meet with someone he met online.
Jyrion was later found deceased inside his vehicle at a public park located in Covington.
Since the beginning of the investigation, information regarding suspects has been limited. Detectives have interviewed several witnesses, family members, and persons of interest.
Detectives believe Jyrion was with someone he met online and have obtained new forensic information regarding a suspect.
The Covington Police Department is still actively seeking information in this investigation and is asking for the public’s assistance in bringing Jyrion’s killer to justice.
