On April 29 the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries will bring their Community Fishing Program to Bogue Chitto State Park in Franklinton.
This is a free event.
The pond will be stocked with adult channel catfish prior to the event and you keep what you catch. Registration for the Adult and Youth Fishing Competition starts at 6:30 AM. There will be raffle prizes and lost of fishing activities, including goody bags for the first 100 youth registrants. And lunch will be provided while supplies last.

Participants 18 & older must possess a valid Louisiana shing license.
