Governor John Bel Edwards spoke in Tangipahoa Parish on Tuesday.
In his speech he focused on teacher pay raises, broadband for all, and clean energy, among other topics.
Edwards returned home to speak to a capacity crowd at the Tangipahoa Chamber’s monthly luncheon.
In addition to discussing his legislative plans and a series of projects that he says are central to his administration, Edwards also spoke about his plans after his second and final term in office comes to a close in January. The governor says he plans to practice law back in Tangipahoa Parish.
