
The suspect in connection with the double murders in Covington has been indicted by a grand jury.
49 YO Antonio Tyson was indicted on two counts of first-degree murder and one count of obstruction of justice for a double homicide in Covington on Nov. 27, 2022. He is accused of murdering Father Otis Young and Ruth Prats.
DA Warren Montgomery also reports that yesterday a St. Tammany grand jury indicted two brothers, 18 YO DeAnthony Williams and 16 YO Corda Williams with 2nd degree murder and attempted 2nd degree murder involving two victims. DeAnthony Williams was also indicted on attempted armed robbery. The crimes occurred in Slidell on November 28, 2022. Corda Williams will be tried as an adult.
And a St. Tammany grand jury indicted 20 YO Cody Wetzel on 4 counts of first-degree rape, 3 counts of sexual battery, and 3 counts of aggravated crimes against nature, all with underage victims. The abuse took place over a 2-year period in Covington. Detective Adrianne Bieller of the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Special Victim’s Unit investigated the case and Assistant District Attorney Ysonde Boland presented the case to the Grand Jury.
