The Hammond Downtown Development District (DDD) announces the Spring 2023 season of Picnic in the Park.
As Downtown Hammond’s premier outdoor concert series, locals and visitors look forward to enjoying Louisiana musicians in Cate Square Park. Order a picnic spread to-go from our dozens of locally-owned food and beverage establishments in the heart of Downtown Hammond. Gather with friends and family to enjoy warm, spring evenings and local live music from 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM in Cate Square Park.
The spring season schedule is as follows: Friday, March 31, the season kicks off with local party-rock and dance band, Bottom’s Up.
Saturday, April 29 it will be presented in partnership with Northshore Arts in Bloom, and the community is invited to enjoy a blooming evening with live music, chalk art, and flower displays in the park.
Friday, May 26 the Picnic in the Park wraps up a “Green & Gold Night” presented in partnership with Southeastern Louisiana University Alumni Association.
Attendees can bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the event. Pop-up tents will not be permitted.
