DA Warren Montgomery reports that 49 YO Daniel Philip Chappetta of Loranger pled guilty to two counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile before District Judge John Keller.
Judge Keller sentenced Chappetta to 15 years in prison without the benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence.
In May of 2020, the STPSO Special Victims Unit received a complaint of inappropriate behavior with a female juvenile. The victim disclosed to officers that her mother’s live-in boyfriend had, on multiple occasions between November 5, 2019 and May 22, 2020, had inappropriate contact with her. STPSO investigated the case and issued a warrant for Chappetta’s arrest in September of 2020.
Assistant District Attorney Christina Fisher prosecuted the case.
