Last week Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office Detective Kevin Bond participated in a SWAT Sniper Skills Symposium in Lafayette.
Sponsored by the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office, the symposium brought together law 43 law enforcement officers from throughout the United States, plus one from Canada.
The rigorous four-day training event included topics such as legal issues, use of force, decision making and shooting competition.
In the shooting competition, Detective Bond took first place.
Detective Bond has been with the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office since 2017. Previous law enforcement service included the Causeway Police Department and the Franklinton Police Department.
