According to preliminary survey results from the National Weather Service regarding the severe weather earlier this week.
NWS Survey team surveyed two tornadoes.
One was an EF-2 which impacted Tangipahoa Parish including the village of Tangipahoa.
A second tornado, rated EF-0, impacted rural portions of Walthall Co, MS.
The Tangipahoa tornado had estimated peak winds of 115 MPH with a width of 175 yards. It was on the ground for 3.4 miles from 5:51 until 5:57 pm.
