
Four Slidell-area residents were arrested following a shooting which occurred over the weekend.
Saturday (January 28), morning deputies with the St. Tammany Sheriff’s Office were notified of an investigation being conducted by detectives with the Slidell Police Department regarding a shooting which resulted in a Slidell-area man being hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
During their investigation, SPD detectives determined the shooting occurred just outside of their city limits, at an address on Shady Lane in Slidell. As a result, the investigation was turned over to STPSO detectives.
During their investigation, STPSO detectives identified the shooter as Robby Ray.
While executing a search warrant at the residence on Shady Lane, STPSO detectives discovered narcotics in addition to evidence related to the shooting. It was also learned that several individuals assisted in the removal of evidence from the scene in an apparent attempt to conceal evidence from detectives.
Robby Ray of Slidell was arrested and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center on attempted murder and gun charges. Courtney Sessions of Slidell was arrested and booked on weapons and drug charges. Courtney Ray of Slidell was arrested on drug charges. And Yantrel Tyner of Slidell was arrested and faces a misdemeanor possession charge.
The investigation is ongoing and more arrests/charges are possible.
