The Southern University Law Center’s Office of Innovation and Strategic Partnerships and Initiatives is partnering with the Louisiana Workforce Commission and select agencies in St. Tammany Parish to host an expungement intake event for St. Tammany, Washington, and Tangipahoa Parish residents scheduled for January 14 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Faith Bible Community Church on North Columbia Street in Covington.
The goal of the expungement initiative is to increase the availability of individuals to be employed in the workforce.
It is sponsored by the Louisiana Workforce Commission, Louisiana Department of Health, and Tri-Parish Works Workforce Solutions.
Participants must bring their valid driver’s license along with a background check from Louisiana State Police, certified copy of minutes, and a certified bill of information. During the session, residents will have the opportunity to have their criminal records reviewed to determine their eligibility for expungements.
