The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s assistance in identifying three suspicious persons who were seen prowling a local apartment complex.
Chief Jimmy Travis reports three subjects were seen walking through “The Creeks Apartments” complex in the early morning hours of December 12. The subjects were seen on security footage pulling on vehicle doors as they walked through the complex just before 5:00 AM. As seen in the footage, the three subjects entered the complex in a car and parked near the back, at which time they began to walk around the buildings checking door handles. The subjects were later seen split up, so to cover a larger area and to appear less conspicuous if spotted. The subjects then returned to their vehicle and left the complex.
Detectives believe the same subjects could also be responsible for several vehicle burglaries reported near the same area, which is located off N Morrison Blvd just outside of the Hammond city limits.
