A teenager shot and killed over the weekend at a birthday party in Bogalusa was identified as 15 YO Ronie Taylor.
Two other 14 YO’s were struck when shots were fired at a birthday party held at The Breakfast Club on Warren Street around 9 p.m. Friday night. A large group had gathered for the party when the gunfire began.
The local coroner said Taylor was shot multiple times.
All three teens who were shot attended Bogalusa High School. The victim’s father said his son was a football player and band member. The other two teens are expected to be okay.
Bogalusa PD said there have been 77 shootings in the city this year, many involving teens. There have been eight homicides so far as compared to 2021, when there were six.
